  After graduating from Screen Arts, Jason had the skills to make movies but still needed to find himself as a filmmaker. So he did what he now advises others to do: he grabbed hold of the things that inspired him and let them shape his art.

  Many years of working on projects with his father in their garage have made Dexter Reeves a process-minded problem-solver. Figuring out how things work and how they could work better – it's what he's all about.

  

• 

  Scott is musical, plays a lot of sports and counts physics, math and biology among his favourite high school courses. But his real passion is the great outdoors. He likes to explore and wants to travel.

  

• 

  Seth loves the 'beautiful game'. In soccer and in life he knows success requires team work, focus, practice, and having a game plan.

  

• 

  Stacy tried culinary arts at another college, but decided it wasn't her thing. Unsure of what she wanted to do, she enrolled in Academic & Career Connections. She learned a lot – especially about herself.

  Travis practices Parkour – challenging his abilities to navigate any environment in the most efficient way possible. He's also keen on taking things apart to see how they work. Curiosity and practicality are part of what makes Travis, Travis.

Get In2 The Challenge

The Challenge

Enter the "Get in2 the Challenge" contest for a chance to win prizes each month. The contest starts October 1, 2011 and ends May 31, 2012. Each month we'll post a new challenge on our website and draw for 2 gift cards. The challenge is different every month and in addition to your chance to win, the monthly challenges will help prepare you for college or university.

Prizes

Each month you complete a challenge you'll have a chance to win one of two $25 gift cards that are awarded at the end of month. And with each monthly challenge you are entered into the Big Prize draw. There will be 2 Big Prize winners announced June 1, 2012. That means if you complete all the challenges throughout the year you'll be entered in the RBP draw 8 times and have 8 chances to win one of the really big prizes – a $250 gift card or a pizza party for your entire homeroom class.

• Monthly prize: 2 $25 Gift Cards each month (Your choice – iTunes, Chapters, Future Shop, Empire Theatre or West49)
• Big prize #1: A $250 gift card (Your choice – iTunes, Chapters, Future Shop, Empire Theatre or West49) or a pizza party for your entire homeroom class.
• Big prize #2: A pizza party for your entire homeroom class.

Oh...and you don't need to be an NSCC student or applying to NSCC to join the challenge. The contest is open to everyone and prizes are awarded to Atlantic Canada High School students in grades 9-12.

Contest Rules

Although only high school students (grades 9-12) in Atlantic Canada are eligible for prizes, Get in2 the Challenge is open to everyone who wants to learn a little bit more about preparing for College and university. More legal stuff & regulations...
