Academic
Academic Schedule – The 2011-2012 Academic Schedule includes important dates for program/course withdrawal and enrolment to assist you in planning your year.
Health & Human Services Students – Additional program requirements and instructions on how to complete these requirements will be provided with your acceptance notification.

MyNSCC – MyNSCC provides all active NSCC students (in a credited full-time or part-time course, including apprenticeship) with real time access to key NSCC data. You're able to access your grades, financial Information, personal demographic information, unofficial transcripts, weekly schedules, and also update your contact information (phone numbers, emergency contacts, email addresses).
Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) and Workplace Hazardous Material Information Systems (WHMIS) – NSCC is committed to safety education and to helping Nova Scotians meet their safety training needs. SAFE 1000 and SAFE 1001 provide a basic introduction and lay the groundwork for any specific OH&S and WHMIS training. All students are required to complete theses courses by September 30th, 2011. Program Schedules – Individual program schedules will be available on MyNSCC by the last week of August.
Recognizing Prior Learning (RPL) and Transfer Credit Process & Forms – NSCC recognizes that students come to us with previous training and experience. For more information on what RPL is visit Recognizing Prior Learning. To apply for transfer credit or RPL, you must complete the form, including a copy of your transcript, and course outline. This form can be dropped off at the campus. If you have specific questions about RPL, please contact the campus you are attending in the fall.

NSCC Money Matters – NSCC Money Matters provides additional information about tuition, related student fees, the financial resources that may be available, and a budget worksheet which you can use to prepare for your studies at NSCC.

Parking Fees – Parking passes for students and carpoolers (defined as 3 or more people signed up to travel together) are available at the Campus front desk. The cost of a parking pass is $20 for the academic year. There are no pro-rated fees. A parking pass does not guarantee a parking space – parking lots operate on a first come, first served basis.
Program Cost Information – Find out the costs associated with your program, including tuition. Estimated fees will also detail any specific supplies you may need to purchase for your studies for the year as well as start and end dates for your program.
Metro Students U-Pass Fee – All full-time students in Metro (Akerley, IT and Waterfront) are required to purchase a mandatory $154 Metro Transit U-Pass that will provide them with a 9-month unlimited pass to buses and ferries (excluding Access-A-Bus). More U-Pass details »

Get Started Welcome Event – Find out what life at NSCC will really be like. You'll have a chance to meet your instructors, tour the campus, and find out about books and supplies. Get Started Welcome Events have ended for 2011 and will start again in Spring 2012.

Student Association – Becoming an NSCC student isn't just about academics! All on-campus, full-time students are automatically members of the Student Association (SA). The SA provides many opportunities to really become involved in campus life.
Student Health & Dental Plan – NSCC Students who are full time as well as those ALP students taking 3 or more units will be enrolled in a NSCC Student Health and Dental Plan that provides extended medical and dental benefits.
